Simple, Delicious Steak Fajitas

Instructions

1. Marinade Magic

Marinating the steak is key for flavor! Combine the following in a bowl:

  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Place the steak in a resealable bag, pour the marinade over it, seal, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.


2. Cooking the Steak

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced

Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the remaining oil and sauté onions and bell peppers until tender and lightly caramelized. Return the steak to the skillet, toss, and cook for 1 more minute.


3. Serving Your Fajitas

Warm your flour tortillas until soft and fill them with the steak, onions, and peppers. Top with shredded cheese, sour cream, guacamole, or salsa if desired.
