Soft & Spiced Apple Pie Cake

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prepare the Apples

  • Peel and dice apples into small cubes.
  • Toss with brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Set aside.

2. Make the Cake Batter

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch (23 cm) round pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk eggs and sugar until smooth.
  • Stir in melted butter, vanilla, then milk.
  • In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Mix dry ingredients into wet until smooth.

3. Assemble the Cake

  • Pour half the batter into the pan.
  • Spread the apple mixture evenly on top.
  • Pour remaining batter over the apples and smooth with a spatula.

4. Bake

  • Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

5. Cool & Serve

  • Let cool for 20 minutes.
  • Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
