Are you fond of all kinds of simple and effective household tips? Here is one that will be particularly useful to you and that you will surely adopt very quickly. As you know, aluminum foil is essential in the kitchen to keep our food warm, to preserve our leftovers or to cook nice little dishes in the oven. But not only. This versatile silver foil is useful in many ways in the home. Today we are going to show you an unexpected use that few people know about. Why do you think it would be a good idea to put aluminum foil in the freezer? Why should you put aluminum foil in the freezer?
Whether it is an old or new model, the freezer always forms layers of ice on its shelves. And sometimes it can be really restrictive: not only can the drawers get stuck and difficult to open, but it also takes a long time to remove these ice blocks!

To remedy this situation, you can rely on aluminum foil. It may surprise some, but this foil actually has the ability to defrost the freezer in just a few minutes. If there is only a little ice, you can line the inside of the freezer with aluminum foil. But if there is too much, it is better to first thoroughly defrost the device before installing the sheets on it.

So how does this trick work? Simply empty the freezer and place aluminum foil everywhere – inside, on the sides, above and below, i.e. on the entire compartment of the device. From there, reintegrate all the products inside. Now the ice will only form on the foil. The advantage is that the foil can be easily removed without any special effort – it will get rid of the frost and the freezer compartment will remain clean.

Also, freezer drawers can be easily lined with aluminum foil. This will save you a lot of time during cleaning – you will only have to replace the aluminum foils with new ones and everything will be spotless. I should have thought of that, right?
