1. Barbecugrug Fry the bacon in a frying pan over medium heat. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside. Add the onion to the remaining bacon and fry for about 10 minutes until it is soft and lightly brown.
2. Add the garlic and cook it for about a minute until it smells slightly. Add green beans, potatoes, chicken broth and cooked bacon.
3. Cover and cook for about 45 minutes over low heat. Remove the lid and season to season to season; season with salt and pepper as you like.
4. Cook the last 15 minutes without lid to reduce the sauce.
