Homemade Mozzarella Sticks

One of my top party appetizers to serve!

Mozzarella Sticks. These gooey, cheesy, and utterly satisfying little sticks of joy are a favorite at parties, a staple at diners, and an essential experience for cheese lovers everywhere.

The exact origin of mozzarella sticks is a bit fuzzy, much like the center of a perfectly melted stick, but they seem to have Italian-American roots, dating back to the fusion culture of the 1970s.

These beauties are seriously best friends with a good marinara sauce, so definitely have some on hand for dipping! If you’re feeling adventurous, other great accompaniments include a creamy ranch dressing, sweet and smoky barbecue sauce, or even a tangy honey mustard.

For a complete snack platter, pair them alongside some fresh vegetable sticks with dip, fruit skewers, or a crisp salad if you want to pretend we’re keeping things balanced here.

2 large eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper, to taste
