Get ribs so good from a slow cooker, you might retire your grill

Instructions:

Peel back the silvery skin that covers the backside of the ribs. Use the back of a spoon to lift and slide it off the ribs.
Liberally season the ribs with salt and pepper, then transfer them to a 6-quart slow cooker.
Pour the root beer over the ribs in the slow cooker.
Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the ribs are tender and falling off the bone.
Optional: In the last hour of cooking, add barbecue sauce to the slow cooker to warm through and coat the ribs.
Once cooked, carefully remove the ribs from the slow cooker and serve hot, with extra barbecue sauce on the side if desired. Enjoy your fall-off-the-bone ribs!
