Season the Chicken
Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. -
Sear the Chicken
Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add chicken breasts and cook for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside. -
Cook the Aromatics
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and chopped onion. Sauté until fragrant and lightly softened. -
Return Chicken to Skillet
Place the seared chicken breasts back into the skillet. -
Add Sauce Ingredients
Pour in lemon juice, chicken broth, milk cream, and nutmeg. Stir gently to combine. -
Simmer
Cover and let simmer for about 25 minutes, until the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce has thickened. -
Serve
Serve hot, drizzled with the creamy garlic sauce. Pair with vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
