Beef slices with crunchy parmesan glaze

Instructions:

Prepare the Beef:

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

Season the beef tenderloin or sirloin generously with salt and pepper.

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the beef on all sides until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side. This helps develop flavor and texture.

Make the Parmesan Glaze:

In a small bowl, combine grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, chopped parsley, melted butter, and Dijon mustard if using.

Mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Season with a little salt and pepper to taste.

Bake the Beef:

Transfer the seared beef to a baking sheet.

Generously pat the Parmesan glaze over the top and sides of the beef. Press lightly to ensure the glaze adheres well.

Place in the preheated oven and roast for about 15-20 minutes, or until the beef reaches your desired level of doneness. For medium-rare, aim for an internal temperature of about 135°F (57°C) before resting.

Rest and Serve:

Remove the beef from the oven and let it rest for about 10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, making it juicier and easier to slice.

Slice the beef into thick or thin slices, depending on your preference.

Final Touch:

Arrange the beef slices on a platter. Optionally, you can drizzle any collected juices from the pan over the meat or serve with an extra sprinkle of fresh parsley for added color.

Tips:

Beef Selection: Tenderloin is ideal for a tender, luxurious feel, but sirloin is a great economical and flavorful option.
Glaze Variations: You can add different herbs like thyme or rosemary to the glaze mixture for different flavor profiles.
Serving Suggestions: Serve this dish with a side of roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad for a balanced meal.
