Apple Cinnamon Cake

1. Prepare the apples

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).

  • Cut the apples into small pieces and mix them with 2 teaspoons of cinnamon.

2. Make the batter

  • In a bowl, beat the butter and sugar until creamy.

  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

  • Add the flour, baking powder, remaining 3 teaspoons of cinnamon, and the pinch of salt. Mix until combined.

3. Combine and bake

  • Fold the apple pieces into the batter.

  • Grease a cake tin and pour in the mixture.

  • Bake for 45–50 minutes, until golden brown and firm.

4. Cool and serve

  • Let the cake cool completely before slicing.

  • Serve plain, dusted with powdered sugar, or with a dollop of whipped cream.
