Ingredients
1 large fresh ginger root (about 100–150 g)
2 liters of water
Juice of 1–2 lemons (optional)
1–2 tbsp honey, maple syrup, or sweetener (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Ginger
Wash the ginger thoroughly.
Peel (optional) and slice into thin strips like in the image.
2. Boil
Add the sliced ginger to a pot with the 2 liters of water.
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15–20 minutes.
3. Strain
Turn off the heat and let it cool slightly.
Strain out the ginger pieces (like shown in the second image).
4. Flavor (Optional)
Stir in lemon juice and honey while warm—not hot.
5. Bottle
Pour the ginger water into clean glass bottles, seal, and refrigerate.
Servings:
4–6 (approx. 1.5–2 liters total)

Serving Suggestions
Drink 1 cup in the morning on an empty stomach.
Drink 1–2 more cups throughout the day.
Serve warm or cold.
